School-Based Day Treatment
(Planned for early 2007 – Northumberland County ) The goal of this service is to provide the supportive services needed to keep high risk elementary school children in the public school system and in their own community. These services will include Case Management, an Intake/Diagnostic Evaluation in the Northumberland Elementary School, and school-based treatment. The services will be provided by an on-site therapist, two behavioral specialists who will work with children in the school setting every school day, and two case managers. Referrals are made by the Northumberland County School staff. Cost can be covered by Medicaid, if the child has a diagnosis of serious emotional disturbance.
