Family Education Programs
Each of the family education programs increases understanding and teaches skills on how to be the best parent possible. Our programs are highly interactive and informative; some include a children’s component that teach youngsters new skills as well. Group sessions help families communicate better and establish a nurturing way of life. This program stresses the importance of empathy, self-awareness, anger management, effective discipline, bonding and attachment, and appropriate expectations.
Through videos, workbook exercises, and role playing, this program teaches parents how to strengthen family bonds and establish the family’s position on drugs, and teaches children how to make healthy choices.
Parents learn how to minimize the harm of divorce and continued conflict on children, how to talk with children about separation and divorce, how to manage conflict and emotions constructively, and how to co-parent for the sake of the child.
This parenting program for Christian-focused families is a series of group sessions designed to promote better communication and a nurturing way of life based on Biblical principles.
Designed for children ages 4 to 12, Faith Connection combines substance abuse prevention strategies with Biblical teachings to strengthen faith in Christ, develop coping skills, and give hope for a promising future.
Touch is one of the first ways humans learn to communicate. This workshop shows how nurturing touch can strengthen the relationship between parents and children and establish special bonds that will last a lifetime. |
