Residential Programs and Supports
Three major residential programs assist individuals and their families work together to better mental health.
- Transitional Living Program (Turning Point) is a six-bed residential program for seriously mentally ill adults needing supervised care 24 hours a day. Patients enjoy a home-like setting where they live and work together as a family. Each individual is responsible for some aspect of daily management of the home. Together, theylearn to manage their illness and activities of daily living while working toward moving to housing with less supervision.
- Supportive Living Program helps individuals with mental disabilities find and stay in adequate housing. This program matches individuals with housing in the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck and provides individualized supports to help ensure success in the community. The goal is toassist individuals in returning to the mainstream by making their living situation as normal as possible.
- Mental Health Training and Support Services are designed to provide stability to individuals with serious mental illness. Available to individuals living in various community residential settings, our team of skilled professionals is in regular contact with individuals to constantly assess their needs and increase their chances of success. Staff will intervene in areas of concern where it could be difficult for an individual to continue to live independently.
