Correctional Facility Services

A wide range of mental health services are available to individuals incarcerated at the Gloucester and Lancaster local jails, the Northern Neck Regional Security Center, and the Middle Peninsula Regional Correctional Facility. Depending on the size of facility and the need for services, mental health staff are available from one to five days a week to provide treatment and links to community resources prior to their release. Representatives from agencies and organizations with which inmates have contact when they are released meet regularly to develop comprehensive discharge plans and to monitor an individual’s progress toward goals and objectives.
